Strathallen announces the closing of the first serviced lots from the 95-acre industrial & commercial property on Highway 400 and County Road 88 in Bradford West Gwillimbury

Strathallen Capital Corp. (“Strathallen”) announced today that on behalf of its Investor Clients, it has closed on the first two serviced lots totaling 17.5 acres of the original 95-acre parcel in the southwest quadrant of Highway 400 and County Road 88.

Strathallen began servicing this significant parcel approximately 13 months ago and the two transactions mark the first sales. The large 15-acre parcel was sold to a long time Bradford company that is a supplier of building products, and the second lot to a
developer for a hotel.

Approximately 18 additional acres of unconditional sales are in place to close over the next six months with several other parcels conditionally sold. Apart from one remaining large industrial parcel, the balance of the serviced lots border either County Road 88 or Highway 400 were designated by the Province in 2009 for special interchange designation allowing for commercial, industrial and retail uses.

Grant Pretorius, Vice President of Development at Strathallen, commented: “The opportunity to acquire new serviced lots coupled with the Town’s progress with infrastructure and the planned widening of Highway 400 have increased the velocity of land sales. Even with increased lot prices during the past year, this prominent location continues to provide well-priced lands on a 400-series highway. Construction on the recently sold parcels will start imminently which will also spark additional interest. We expect to be completely sold out by the end of 2019.”
